THE JUDGMENT OF GOD
JOB 21
30 For the wicked are reserved for the day of doom; They shall be brought out on the day of wrath.
LUKE 16:19-31
19
"There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine
linen
and fared sumptuously every day.
20 "But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores,
who
was
laid at his gate,
21 "desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich
man's table.
Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
22 "So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the
angels to
Abraham's
bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.
23 "And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and
saw
Abraham
afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 "Then he cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me,
and
send Lazarus
that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my
tongue; for
I am
tormented
in this flame.'
25 "But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you
received your
good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is
comforted
and you are
tormented.
26 'And besides all this, between us and you there is a great
gulf
fixed,
so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can
those
from there pass to us.'
27 "Then he said, 'I beg you therefore, father, that you would
send
him to
my father's house,
28 'for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest
they
also
come to this place of torment.'
29 "Abraham said to him, 'They have Moses and the prophets; let
them
hear
them.'
30 "And he said, 'No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them
from
the dead,
they will repent.'
31 "But he said to him, 'If they do not hear Moses and the
prophets,
neither
will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.'"
JOHN 5:22
"For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son,
JOHN 5:24-30
24
"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes
in Him
who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into
judgment, but
has passed
from death
into life.
25 "Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now
is,
when the
dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear
will
live.
26 "For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the
Son
to have
life in Himself,
27 "and has given Him authority to execute judgment also,
because He
is the
Son of Man.
28 "Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all
who
are in
the graves will hear His voice
29 "and come forth-- those who have done good, to the
resurrection
of life,
and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of
condemnation.
30 "I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My
judgment
is righteous,
because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who
sent
Me.
ACTS 10:42
"And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead.
ACTS 17:30-31
30
"Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now
commands
all
men everywhere to repent,
31 "because he has appointed a day on which He will judge the
world
in
righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given
assurance
of this to all by
raising
Him from the dead."
ACTS 24:15
"I have hope in God, which they themselves also accept, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust.
ROMANS 1:18
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
ROMANS 2:6-10

who
will render to each one according to his deeds":
7 eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good
seek for
glory, honor, and immortality;
8 but to those who are selfseeking and do not obey the truth,
but
obey
unrighteousness-- indignation and wrath,
9 tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil,
of
the Jew
first and also of the Greek;
10 but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is
good,
to the
Jew first and also to the Greek.
ROMANS 2:16
in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.
ROMANS 9:21-23
21
Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump
to make
one vessel for honor and another for dishonor?
22 What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power
known, endured
with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath prepared for
destruction,
23 and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the
vessels of
mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory,
ROMANS 14:9-12
9
For
to this end Christ died and rose and lived again, that He
might be
Lord of both the dead and the living.
10 But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show
contempt
for your
brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of
Christ.
11 For it is written: "As I live, says the Lord, Every knee
shall
bow to
Me, and every tongue shall confess to God."
12 So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.
1 CORINTHIANS 4:5
Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts; and then each one's praise will come from God.
2 CORINTHIANS 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
GALATIANS 6:7-8
7
Do
not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows,
that he
will also reap.
8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap
corruption,
but he
who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
2 TIMOTHY 4:1
I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom:
HEBREWS 4:13
And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
1 PETER 4:5
They will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
JUDE 5-7
5
But
I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the
Lord, having
saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed
those
who did not
believe.
6 And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left
their own
habitation, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness
for
the judgment of
the great
day;
7 as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in similar
manner to
these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and
gone after
strange flesh,
are set
forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
JUDE 12-15
12
These are spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you
without
fear, serving only themselves; they are clouds without water,
carried
about by the
winds; late
autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots;
13 raging waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame;
wandering
stars for
whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.
14 Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men
also, saying,
"Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints,
15 "to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly
among
them
of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an
ungodly way,
and of all the
harsh things
which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him."
REVELATION 2:23
"And I will kill her children with death. And all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.
REVELATION 19:11
Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.
REVELATION 20:11-15
11
Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from
whose
face
the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place
for
them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and
books were
opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life.
And the
dead
were judged
according to their works, by the things which were written in
the books.
13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades
delivered
up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one
according
to his works.
14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is
the
second
death.
15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast
into
the lake
of fire.
REVELATION 22:12
"And
behold,
I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give
to every
one according to his work.
