ECCLESIASTES 5:2-3 NKJV
2 Do not be rash with your mouth, And let
not your heart utter anything hastily before God. For God is
in heaven, and you on earth; Therefore let your words be
few.
3 For a dream comes through much activity,
And a fool's voice is known by his many words.
ECCLESIASTES 10:12-14 NKJV
12 The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious,
But the lips of a fool shall swallow him up;
13 The words of his mouth begin with
foolishness, And the end of his talk is raving madness.
14 A fool also multiplies words. No man knows
what is to be; Who can tell him what will be after him?
MATTHEW 12:34-37 NKJV
34 "Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil,
speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the
mouth speaks.
35 "A good man out of the good treasure of his
heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the
evil treasure brings forth evil things.
36 "But I say to you that for every idle word
men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of
judgment.
37 "For by your words you will be justified, and
by your words you will be condemned."
MATTHEW 15:7-11 NKJV
7 "Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy
about you, saying:
8 'These people draw near to Me with their
mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far
from me.
9 And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as
doctrines the
commandments of men.'"
10 Then He called the multitude and said to
them, "Hear and understand:
11 "Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man;
but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man."
MATTHEW 15:17-20 NKJV
17 "Do you not yet understand that whatever
enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated?
18 "But those things which proceed out of the
mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man.
19 "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts,
murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness,
blasphemies.
20 "These are the things which defile a man, but
to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man."
LUKE 4:22 NKJV

EPHESIANS 4:31 NKJV
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger,
clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all
malice.
COLOSSIANS 3:8 NKJV
But now you must also put off all

TITUS 3:1-3 NKJV
1 Remind them to be subject to rulers and
authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work,
2 to speak evil of no one, to be
peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men.
3 For we ourselves were also once foolish,
disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures,
living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another.
JAMES 3:1-12 NKJV
1 My brethren, let not many of you become
teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment.
2 For we all stumble in many things. If
anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able
also to bridle the whole body.
3 Indeed, we put bits in horses' mouths
that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body,
4 Look also at ships: although they are so
large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a
very small rudder wherever the pilot desires.
5 Even so the tongue is a little member
and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little
fire kindles!
6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of
iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it
defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of
nature; and it is set on fire by hell.
7 For every kind of beast and bird, of
reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed
by mankind.
8 But no man can tame the tongue. It is an
unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
9 With if we bless our God and Father, and
with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude
of God.
10 Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and
cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.
11 Does a spring send forth fresh water and
bitter from the same opening?
12 Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or
a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring can yield both salt
water and fresh.
